„We don‘t know how long our journey will take. We quit our jobs, we liquidated our household, our families and friends are in our thoughts and as long as we are together we feel at home everywhere.“ - On April 14th 2008 we said goodbye with these words on this website, when we started our worldtrip with the train in eastward direction for an indefinite time.

In our first month we travelled through Austria, Hungary, Romania and the Ukraine up to Moscow. From there we spent the second month travelling through Siberia and Mongolia with the Trans-Siberian and the Trans-Mongolian Railway that came to an end in Beijing in China.

The following 17 months we travelled through China and Southeast Asia, with the longest stay in Cambodia (about 7 months). Japan was our last Asian destination, before we left our much-loved continent with a heavy heart.

South America was our new challenge to be, where we travelled around from November 2009 to March 2010, looking for (hidden) treasures, with one short interruption to go to Antarctica for 10 days - an unforgettable experience that is way out of this world.

Early March 2010 the time had come for us to fly from South America to Europe, where we spent a couple of wonderful but freezing cold days in London, followed by our last two worldtrip-days in Paris. We returned to Switzerland on March 14th 2010 - exactly 23 months after our departure.
